Millfield Musicians off to top universities

Millfield Musicians are delighted to have achieved places at some of the country’s top universities. Upper Sixth pupils Elenice Andrews,  Isabelle Barber, Florence Lunnon, William Renwick and Gregory Wills have gained places at Birmingham University, Royal Holloway and Durham University, among others.

Isabelle Barber from Somerton has accepted a place at Birmingham University to study Music, having also gained offers from Manchester University, Royal Holloway, and King’s College, London.

Gregory Wills from Glastonbury has achieved a Music and Choral Scholarship from Royal Holloway and an offer from the University of Southampton.

William Renwick from Ware in Hertfordshire has been offered a place at Leeds College of Music to study Jazz with Music Production.

Elenice Andrews from Yeovil has had offers from Durham University and Royal Holloway to study Music and Philosophy.

Florence Lunnon from Wells has accepted a place at Durham University to read Liberal Arts, focusing on Music and English.

Pupils also recently enjoyed meeting former Millfield pupil Ella Eyre during a thought-provoking and inspiring Q&A session last month. Ella was at Millfield accepting her award for Old Millfieldian of the Year 2019.

Millfield’s Director of Music, Matthew Cook, says, “These outstanding offers are testament to the talent and dedication of pupils and the Music Programme at Millfield, and I am absolutely delighted for Isabelle, Gregory, Elenice, Florence and William. They continue strongly the fine tradition of Millfield Musicians pursuing their dreams to study music and are very much on the path to joining many of our alumni who have gone on to work in the music industry, as composers, performers and recording artists”.
