Millfield Netballer selected for Wales U21 Squad

Lower Sixth Student Catrin Roy has been selected for the Welsh Netball U21 Squad.

Cardiff-born Catrin is currently training as part of the Welsh U17s and will balance training between both squads this season. 2020 is a crucial year for the U21 age group as qualifying for the 2021 Netball World Youth Cup in Fiji draws closer.

An aspiring lawyer, Catrin joined Millfield in September 2019 on a sport and academic scholarship and is studying History, Geography and Psychology with the hope of studying law at university. She hopes to continue playing netball for her chosen university as well as being a part of a superleague franchise.

Goalkeeper Catrin is a key part of Millfield Netball, playing in all interschool matches and making the most of the opportunities on offer including travelling to Barbados to play the local teams in a series of matches. She is the second Millfield netballer to be called up for her national team with Lower Sixth Ella Porter being called up for the senior Wales squad earlier this year.
