Millfield Team Bath ADC leads the way with most players selected into U17 NPL Long Squad

Seven Netballers from the Team Bath Academy Development Centre (ADC), hosted at Millfield, have been selected into the Team Bath U17 Long Squad.

Five current Millfield students are amongst those selected with a further two athletes for the 2020-2021 season. Current Team Bath U19 NPL players, Lower Sixth Sophie Hamilton and Bella Valeur Adu, along with Sasha Hartley, Fleur Florin, Year 11 Izzy Mackenzie and two external athletes Alice and Ella complete the seven of 17 players in the long squad. The high number of selections from the Millfield ADC makes it the leading centre in the South West.

Training has begun and they played their first training match on familiar ground at Millfield earlier this week. A short squad of 12 will be selected in July for the U17 NPL tournament at the University of Wolverhampton on 24 and 25 July, which marks the culmination of the season.

Seventeen Millfield students this year were selected into the Team Bath ADC performance pathway which is a record number.
