Record number of Millfield Netballers join Team Bath Academy

A record number of Millfield netballers have been selected for the Team Bath Academy Development Centre.

An exceptional 15 students, from Year 10 to Upper Sixth have successfully gained places into the academy, the first step in the Team Bath Performance Pathway. The players will have the opportunity to be selected for the Team Bath Under 17, Under 19 and Under 21 National Performance League (NPL) squads. This is the most callups Millfield netball has ever had, last season 11 players were chosen to join the development centre.

The group will take part in training once a week as part of the Somerset Team Bath ADC on campus at Millfield, consisting of an hour strength and conditioning session followed by a two-hour court session, with an emphasis on individual’s technique and tactical development. There will also be matches throughout the season to aid further development.

Congratulations to Upper Sixth Olivia Ralph, Ella Porter, Catrin Roy, Lower Sixth Isla Niddrie, Maisie Robins, Sasha Hartley, Fleur Florin, Bella Valeur-Adu, Sophie Hamilton, Rosa Launder, Year 11 Izzy Mackenzie, Isabella Woollard, Year 10 Fechi Okafor, Sarah Long and Sarah Bugeja.

Millfield Netball is an Academy Development Centre for the Haines Watts-sponsored Team Bath Netball Futures pathway, developing the next generation of netball talent in the South West. The partnership enhances the strong, existing relationship between Millfield and Team Bath, with several current students and OMs representing Team Bath in the National Performance League age groups.
