Six Millfield Netballers selected into Team Bath Performance squads

Six Millfield netballers have been selected into Team Bath Netball squads for the 2022-23 season.

Five students have been selected into the U17 Team Bath Netball Performance League (NPL) long squad for this season. The selections are Lower Sixth Sope Ilelaboye, Fechi Okafor, Year 11 Cammie Collins, Amalia Eneanya-Bonito and Year 10 Olivia Pitt. Upper Sixth Poppy Sawyer has been selected for the U18 Player Development Programme (PDP) squad.

The netballers were selected after a series of vigorous trials and will train and play weekly with their respective teams. Both squads will get their seasons underway on Saturday 4 February, with the U17s taking on Severn Stars and the U18s travelling to face Leeds Rhinos.

Millfield hosts one of the Team Bath Academy Development Centres (ADC), which saw fourteen Millfield students selected into the Team Bath ADC performance pathway this year.

Director of Netball, Jenna Adamson, said, “This is a wonderful achievement for all six athletes to be playing and developing at the highest levels with Team Bath. I am looking forward to watching their progress in the coming months.”

Millfield have a number of specialist Netball staff who are highly experienced coaches and players who are involved in Senior International Squads, the Vitality Netball Superleague, the England Performance pathway, and Premier League Clubs. Millfield annually has athletes representing Superleague franchises across various age groups within the National Performance League and at Superleague.
