Cross Country
Students of all ages and abilities can take part in cross country. Four highly motivated and qualified staff ensure that the runners follow a flexible training regime. We are happy to vary our training to suit the individual, whether they are a top English Schools’ hopeful or a recreational athlete. We can train up to five times a week and students may select to attend sessions as ‘drop ins’ if they choose other main games.
We regard cross country as a team sport with around 20 dedicated boys and girls across the age groups, attending training sessions. We run regular hill sessions off campus, interval sessions throughout woodland, speed play, as well as steady long distance running. Our athletes can also choose to join core stability training sessions. From March we usually incorporate a weekly track session in preparation for the athletics season.
