Millfield School is Europe’s leading independent school for sport, and the football programme offers provision in coaching, facilities and competition on par with professional club football academies.

We offer students the unique combination of a professional academy level environment within a leading UK independent school setting.

Football is the school’s largest participation sport with over 300 students playing the sport across all three school terms, from September to the end of June.

Individually tailored programmes provide players with a holistic development opportunity.

Millfield Football offers students the unique combination of a professional academy level environment within a leading independent school setting through: 

• 12 UEFA A or B licensed coaches, the equivalent to an EFL Championship Academy. 
• Unparalleled facilities including 11 pitches and a Premier League Category Two equivalent standard First Team Pitch.  
• An unparalleled track record of providing players with pathways into higher levels of football. Recent leavers have been awarded professional contracts at Premier League and Women’s Super League clubs. Numerous students gain places with USA universities at NCAA D1, D2 and D3 programmes as well as places at Russell Group universities.  
• A three-term, year-round programme, as opposed to the standardised two-term approach typically utilised in school football programmes. 
• Highly competitive competition, including national tournaments and fixtures with professional academies. 

Connections to Professional Clubs
The relationships we have with other football organisations are vital in enriching the level of opportunity available to our young footballers. Our relationships span professional club academies, international teams, US/UK universities, local clubs and the England Female Pathway. These relationships can be seen through competitive fixtures against professional-level teams, and professional scouts attending our tournaments and key fixtures.
