Squash
Boys and girls of all ages and ability are encouraged to play and enjoy squash, not just on a full time basis but also as a fitness and social activity. With six newly refurbished squash courts and a coaching team directed by Ian Thomas, students have the means to continually develop their technique and skill, while gaining experience in numerous fixtures and competitions.
Whilst members of the full time squad train six days a week, there are also regular sessions throughout the week for students of all abilities.
Many of our youngsters have represented England and other countries at Junior levels; Old Millfieldian Peter Creed is an eight time Welsh national men's champion. Our Old Millfieldians include Angus Gilliam, who broke into the top 70 in his second year of becoming a professional squash player, Peter Marshall, a former British and European Number 1 and World Number 2 professional squash player, Mohamed El Shorbagy, World Number 1 and Marwan El Shorbagy, World Number 3, who regularly return to Millfield to train.
