Triathlon at Millfield offers a cutting edge programme for aspiring athletes. Each athlete has a bespoke programme tailored to their individual needs, with typically over 10 to 12 sessions per week.  Full use is made of the superb swimming programme at Millfield with athletes regularly competing in swimming events alongside triathlon.

Millfield is one of the only schools in the UK to have a full-time Triathlon Coach, Christian Brown. The affiliated club at the school enters students for the British Triathlon Super Series events, European and World qualifiers and local triathlon and British Cycling events where athletes are supported by school coaches.

Cyclists benefit from regular sessions on the Wattbike’s in the school gyms, all programmed specifically for each athlete’s needs. Athletes visit the Human Performance Lab at Bath University for Lactate Threshold testing to ensure that training is at optimum levels for improvement.

Athletes have the opportunity to go overseas for up to two training camps per year to focus on developing cycling, running and swimming in warm conditions in preparation for the season.
