Academic

Millfield provides a broad and balanced education which not only prepares students for public examinations but also gives them the confidence to achieve success throughout their adult lives. We believe that education should open doors.

Millfield offers an exceptionally wide range of courses which underpin the school's curriculum whilst still allowing pupils' programmes to be tailored to individual needs. Alongside the 27 A level subjects we also offer an exciting range of vocational courses including 5 BTECs and the Leiths Introductory Certificate in Food and Wine.

Students are taught in small sets, made possible by our high staff to student ratio.

GCSE Maths and English must be studied by students yet to achieve a grade 4 (C) or equivalent in these subjects.

Lessons in the Learning Support Centre (LSC), English as an Additional Language (EAL) and preparation for university applications in English (IELTS) are also offered across the academic timetable.
